Civic & Public Affairs

I have been active in the community, particularly in youth sports programs as a volunteer coach as well as assisting Parkdale PTO with various events.  I have also been engaged in various meetings, including school boards, to participate in public opinion on local education matters.

I have served 32 years in public service including 26 years at Portland Fire & Rescue. During that time, I have focused on teaching at the local, state and national level.  I believe in working diligently to prepare new members of the organization to serve their community.

Candidate Statement

I am running as a candidate for the Hood River Electric Co-Op to give back to the community.  I have received excellent service from the Co-Op and understand that it takes people willing to volunteer their time to make a difference. As my kids become more independent, I am looking forward to investing time into supporting our local electrical co-op and learning more about our essential service.  Thank you.

Candidate Statement

Growing up in Hood River on a farm and enjoying the local community. Being involved in many local programs growing up. I saw this as an opportunity to give back, be involved in the community at the same time learning and seeing different aspects of the electrical field. As an electrician and business owner I think it is always important to grow, learn, and explore new opportunities in your community.
