Services Offered

Fixed-Wireless
With a network of 5.8GHz Line-of-sight radios and 900MHz Non-line-of-sight radios from Trango Broadband Wireless set at strategic locations throughout the Hood River Valley, CACHE is able to provide broadband internet service to most of the Hood River Valley. This wireless network provides an alternative to wired Internet access solutions such as DSL and cable modems which often depend on a 3rd party carrier. Please review the Wireless Terms of Service.

Fiber
CACHE is the owner and operator of a fiber-optic network running the length of the Hood River Valley from the Bonneville Power Administration transmission lines in Parkdale to downtown Hood River, with a Points of Presence in Parkdale, Odell, and Hood River. CACHE interconnects with LightSpeed Networks over BPA fiber. Direct fiber-optic connections are available at select locations along the fibers route.

E-Mail
To compliment the internet service offerings, CACHE operates a server with the ModusMail email package from Vircom Inc - providing comprehensive protection from spam, fraud, phishing, viruses, spyware, image spam and other threats to email integrity.
